SLOW SEASON NO MORE

BY THE NUMBERS

The Experience Columbia SC Sports team worked with a total of 12 events this past quarter, welcoming 14,464 attendees and generating an estimated economic impact of over $2 million. A few of these events include the Nike Palmetto Cup in April, the Carolina9’s International Rugby Festival and Tournament in May and the American Cornhole Organization’s South Atlantic Tournament in June.

Our relationship with the American Cornhole Organization is one that was cultivated through various trade shows we’ve attended over the past couple years and the group hopes to host larger events with us in the future.

ON THE ROAD

This past quarter, Sales Manager Jarrett Dowling traveled to Tampa, Fla. for the NASC Women in Sports Tourism Summit and Colorado Springs, Colo. for the Sports Industry Exchange, while Executive Director Scott Powers traveled to the E-Sports Travel Conference in Atlantic City, N.J. Both Scott and Jarrett attended the NASC Symposium in Knoxville, Tenn., where the SC Sports Alliance hosted a networking happy hour with more than 30 event rights holders in attendance.
